Your data in Afterglow

Afterglow is operated by Ygor Geurts. For privacy questions, corrections or account deletion, contact ygor.geurts@gmail.com.

Signing in with Google

Google provides your email address, basic profile information (including your profile picture) and a unique account identifier so Afterglow can create your account or sign you into an existing one. Afterglow stores those identifiers and your profile picture URL with your account. Your picture loads from Google without sending the address of the page you are viewing. It does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, contacts or your Google password. Google sign-in data is used for account access, not advertising.

Financial information

When you add bank connections, import files or enter information, Afterglow stores the resulting accounts, balances, transactions, budgets, trips and settings in the database used by this app. This information is used to provide your financial overview and planning tools. Other app users cannot view your financial records. The operator administers the server and its backups.

Services involved

Microsoft Azure hosts the app in West Europe. Supabase stores the app database in Frankfurt, Germany. Cloudflare provides domain name services. Google processes sign-in requests. If you connect bunq, bank updates communicate with bunq. The assistant is disabled on the hosted app; no financial information is sent to an AI service through that feature. Afterglow does not sell your Google sign-in data.

Cookies and preferences

Afterglow uses cookies to keep you signed in, protect the Google login flow and remember your account view. Browser storage remembers display preferences such as the theme. Sessions expire or can be revoked from Your account.

Exporting and removing information

Settings includes an export of your financial records and an option to delete your financial data. Financial deletion keeps your login account active. Contact the operator to request deletion of the account itself or to ask about copies in backups. Removing Afterglow from your Google Account connections stops that Google authorization; it does not delete information already stored in Afterglow.
